Posted 2/26/08: Congratulations to all the State Swimmers. Andy in the 200 IM placed first with 1:59.34, a new team record AND setting the State Record in that event as well. Andy also placed first in the 100 Breaststroke with a 1:00.33 Marie Miner placed second in both her events. The 50 Free she swam 25.68 (a new team record) and in the 100 Free she swam a 55.68. Lastly the our womens's 400 Free Relay (Alex N. Amelia, Alex J. and Marie) placed 5th with a 4:01.42. In prelims this relay went 4:00.25 setting a new team record.

Posted 2/26/08: Those swimmers receiving Varsity Letters for outstanding performance and leadership have been noted in bold on the roster page. (points have been tallied, but not added to the roster page. Points from Districts and State have also been tallied but not updated yet. These totals do not change the letter outcomes.)

Posted 2/11/08: Congratulations on a great finish to our season! Boys and Girls combined to finish 5th place overall. On to State Championships: Andy Ottolia will be representing us in the 200 IM and the 100 Breast; Marie Miner will be representing us in the 50 and 100 Free. Relays that made it include the Boys 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay with Alex Beglau, Andy Ottolia, Garret Fleenor, Nick Contreras, and Bradley Beninati. The girls made it in the 200 Free Relay and the 400 Free Relay with Alex Johnson, Amelia Keith, Marie Miner, and Alex Nannaman.

Posted 1/14/08: Lincoln City Meet is this Thursday. Address and Directions: 2150 NE Oar Place Lincoln City, OR 97367. Take Hwy 101 toward Lincoln City, turn east on 22nd, go one block to Oar Place. Turn right. The pool is next to the Elks Center on the left.
Posted 1/14/08: We have our team lunch this Wednesday at the Thia Orchid restaurant downtown in Liberty Plaza (above Starbucks). It is on the corner of Liberty and Chemeketa Streets. Students are dismissed at 11:55 AM. We will meet at the Thia orchid at 12:30 PM. We will be there for about 1 hour. Practice is at the regular time.

1. WOMENS 500 FREE Congratulations to Marie Miner who gained a new record time in the 500 Free, swimming 6:05.70, lowering Alex Nanneman's 6:14.73 set on 12/8/05
2. WOMENS 100 BREAST Congratulations to Alex Nannaman who bettered her 100 Breast record time from 1:21.78 to 1:21.68.

Posted 1/9/08 Major changes to the meet schedule:
1: Sweet Home January 15th has been cancelled.
2: Lincoln City Invite on January 17th has been added. Start time is 3:15PM.
3: Albany Sprint meet on January 26 (Saturday not Thrusday as it appeared in the original Meet Schedule handout)
4: Cascade Meet at Stayton has been moved from Feb 5 to Jan 29 at Stayton Pool.
Posted 1/8/08: Your new point totals are available. These new numbers are for all meets swam thus far. Congratualations to Andy and Marie as the top point winners at this point.
Posted 1/8/08: Junction City and Central meet results have been posted. We are still waiting to hear back from Junction city on the results for swimmers who did not place in the top 6 and the overall scores for the meet. I will post them as soon as I get it.

1. WOMENS 100 FLY Congratulations to Marie Miner who bettered her 100 Fly record time from 1:06.89 to 1:06.46.
2. MENS 200 FREE RELAY Congratulations to Nick C. Alex B. Bradley B. and Andy O. they bettered the 200 Free Relay record time which stood for nearly two years! They went 1:42.28 beating 1:42.78 set on 2/2/06 by Y. Nagasawa, Courtney, Contreras, Ottolia
3. MENS 100 BACK Congratulations to Andy Ottolia who gained a new record time in the 100 Back, swimming 58.10, lowering Alejandro Contreras's 59.11 set on 2/3/05

I will have Juntion City Invite posted by tomorrow provided I get them from JC's Coach. Your points have been updated through Sweet Home only. Amelia and Andy are our current high point swimmers. Central and JC points will be added as soon as I have them. I have also updated your best times

Posted 12/30/07: Junction City meet is next Saturday 1/05/08 and starts at 12 Noon. Entries are now available. Warm up is at 11 AM. The bus leaves Blanchet at 9:45 AM. For [arents that are driving to watch the meet here is the location and the directions: Echo Hollow Pool 1655 Echo Hollow Rd Eugene, OR 97402 I-5 N & S, Exit 195B to Beltline Road West. Continue to Barger Road (1st stoplight), left on Barger Road, right on Echo Hollow Road, proceed to pool.

Posted 12/06/07: We had a great meet at Philomath on Tuesday! Philomath women barley got by our womens' powerful showing! They received 199.50 we scored 197.50! Plus the women's 200 Medley Relay swam to a new team record of 2:09.59. Great job to Amelia, Nikole, Alex, and Marie! On the mens' team we scored 157 to their 229. The men actually swim to several first and second finishes, but Philomath's mens team was so big they were able to challenge us in events we did not that many swimmers in. Posted 12/04/07: REMINDER We have our team Christmas Dinner at School in the Mid-High Commons at 5 PM on Friday, December 7th. It is a potluck, so don't forget to get your item to the school by 5 PM. Bring a non-violent wrapped present, attach a card with discription, age, and gender your gift is intended for. The donation will go to Family Building Blocks, Salem's shelter for abused women and children. If you have extra coats to donate please bring them to this event as well. At 7 PM we will go the Mid-high play to show support for the BCS Drama program. We expect to see everyone on the 7th! to celebrate the season of giving.
Posted 12/04/07: Our meet against Philomath went very well tonight and we are proud of all your swims and the great attitude! We have never been that close to beating Philomath girls, today we lost by 2 points! Results from the meet will be posted as soon as I get them from the Philomath Coach. They should be available by tomorrow.
